Not quail, turkey shooting. You use shotguns for quail, or 22s, turkeys are bigger so you need something with stopping power, like an AA MG. [:D]

As they are evidently prepared for an enemy ground attack, perhaps they should not give away their positions by sticking their weapons up in the air in a fruitless effort to shoot down aircraft with bolt action rifles.

Russian peasants shooting down migratory birds that the peasant fear are carrying the aviarian bird flu. Apparently they have shot down many birds.
