MAtrix games on Mac

Post by Drambuie »

Hi,

Am in the process of considering getting a MAc Powerbook or Imac.

Has anyone successfully managed to get any MAtrix titles running ok on a mac, using
emulation software ?

Just weighing up the options, love the build and interface of the MAc but don't want to lose the
ability to play these games.

Any experiences welcomed - I realise these forums are PC based really.

Cheers

Drambuie,
I use a Mac 17" PowerBook, 1.33 GHz, 512 MB ram, running 10.3.7. I use Virtual PC 6.1.

I have successfully played Battles in Normandy, Highway to the Reich, War in the Pacific, Flashpoint Germany, SPWAW. Keep an eye on resolution... If I run into a problem getting a game to run, I can often solve the problem by bumping down the resolution.

The only thing I've had problems with is the demo for Gary Grigsby's World at War. When I try to launch the game, I get some weird error message. STill trying to figure it out... Might be related to DirectX???

If you have any specific questions, I will try to answer them.

Tom

Forgot to add that I also can play Korsun Pocket.

Yep, that´s most probably a DirectX issue. I´m not "that" familiar with Pc emulators for the MAC but I know that if it doesn´t work it´s either a RAM issue (Virtual Pc is a RAM hog) or DirectX.
