Cancelation of orders

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Cancelation of orders

Post by Camulus »

Is there a way to cancel orders (either stupid ones or just plain mistakes) given to either tropps or fleets?

Not at moment....Eric is working on an Undo function for potential incorporation into a future patch.

In the next patch I'm working on we've finished implementing an undo for unit orders. It's a global-undo: you hit the backspace key and it undoes your unit orders as you gave them. It seems to be working in the preliminary tests, and I hope to get the new build with this feature out to the beta testers later on today.

It doesn't undo player-orders, such as DOW and offering subsidies and building units, but people don't seem to do these sorts of things accidentally... though we could extend the undo to cover these things if there is sufficient interest. (It's a bit of work since each feature covered by the undo essentially has to be programmed again, but backwards.)

[:D] Great news ... personally it is accidental movement and the automatic "accidental" unloading of fleets that effects me at present!

I am most frustrated by the accidental unloading of troops, drives me nutzo, beyond that I don't have any issues.
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

True.... and then the weird double message that having unloaded them you cannot give them any further orders.... why display it twice?
