Retreat Bug?

Post by Harrybanana »

In a recent game I deployed 2 ftrs based in Iraq (with range/speed of 2) to patrol over the Gulf just south of Iraq. On his turn my opponent captured Iraq. On my turn I expected to find my fighters either in India or Aden. To my surprise I found that they had been retreated to neutral South Persia. Whats more I was unable to move them anywhere else even though I had ample supply in adjacent India. When I clicked on these fighters I was given the option of attacking Persia, but since this was not strategically sound I just left them where they were. Luckily I was able to end my turn without executing the Persian attack.

Aauminki had the same bug in one of his early games - I believe it was a UK bomber that slowly made its way to India moving one zone per turn.

It seems the retreat rule is bugged when the base is taken. Possibly it then follows the rule of routing towards a factory that damaged units follow - but with rather odd results as you just described.
