Des06, i am a little confused atm.
Dont you decide to remake your move and put Fog of War on?

Fuel option only counts for panzers if they move 2 turns, for ship movement it always costs more to move them further than 1 square.

So should i use this "russian gambit" save or should i wait for a new one where Germany protects Prussia?

EDIT: Turn send to Western Allies.

@pmiranda: I am just kiddin'. I cant move any russian troops until someone/something unfreezes me.

Fuel OFF
Didn't we decide to use this option? I assumed we did, otherwise I would have moved my carriers a few more zones... (it's that rule where you spend extra supply to move more than one zone, correct?)

East Prussia gambit: never thought about that either! [:(] Let's hope the Royal Navy meets disaster. Anyway, how could you disembark units there if you don't have convoys in the baltic at turn start? I must be missing something here! Can someone explain?

By the way, the attack on Yugoslavia never occured to me either. I always assumed Rumania, etc. would only join Germany after the attack was completed. This looks like kind of a bug to me, to be honest. Sending a first wave to trigger war entry and then attack with the rest... [:-]

Fuel: It is indeed confusion that rule 10.4 speaks about fuel costing extra when you move armor/ships more than one zone - but the fuel cost option is not about that directly. Rather this options means that land units that cross a 2 MP border will take 2 supplies. So, armor/ships will always cost extra supply to move more than one zone - this rule is only about land units crossing double line borders.

Invasions: You can move the transporters before invading - so there is no need to have them inside the Baltics already.
1) Clear Denmark of aircraft/art.
2) Move the Royal Navy into the Baltics to force the Kriegsmarine to retreat.
3) Move transporters into the Baltic
4) Invade.

Yugoslavia. You can attack the same territory multiple times in the same turn - that is an importent part of strategy at times. So, by attacking first with an aircraft you unfreeze the Balkan minors which then swarm Yugoslavia. That is quite normal.

I hope this helps.

Just to show what can happen I ran the English into E. Prussia. See the screen shot.

I will make a real turn without such an invasion and pass along shortly.

Edit: WA spr 40 send to Des.

I'd rather not play with Fog of War. This option doesn't make much sense in a strategic level game, IMHO.

I like the Fog of War rules, makes it more realistic.
You have to use Submarines/ Transporters or Air Units as small scouts to spy enemy movements.
More Fun to play i think and you may hold the opportunity to make some Surprising moves, more interesting for me.
But its okay for me in this game with FOW off.

I was confused with the 2 supply rule, but the manual is'nt clear about that ... I put it off because I was thinking about have an oportunity with experienced gamers like you, if the rule was for panthers (like I was thinking) then it would be a great difficult for Germany assault of Rusia ...
Anaway, the game is on duty ... I think we can play it, when finished we can play another one changing rules and learning about differences ... [;)]

Sum40
BlitzKrieg strikes Spain and Greece with different results.
Spain.
OBK informs Von Manstein about the needs of taking Spain without the help of the Luftwaffe, Germany needs to save figthers and bombers for the next operations. So Von Manstein began the offensive with all the panthers aviable, and some infantery.
Finally it was more easy than expected (great news), maybe we could use some unit less in the assault ... I don't know ...
Greece
Spain was a easy-victory, then Germany can assume some loses in other fronts, so we decided to take Greece the same turn, but it was more difficult, 2 MIL die, and with this result we have lost 7 MIL, a lot of manpower ... maybe it wasn't a good idea.
With the lack of MIL we have to leave North Africa to the WA, some italian transports was sacrified.
While leaving Tripoli Rommel said "I'll be back" ... we hope that no WA commander stole this words to our excelent Marshall Rommel [:D]

Now Europe looks gray, and we espect that it will be the colour until the end [:D]

Turn send to WAllies.
Everything quiet on Russian front so far.

Can you all please use the Savegame with this name: des06_Pmiranda_Wise01_Jan Sorensen.psv and send the turn with this name?!
This will make things much more easier for players with more than one game running.
Thx!

Game sent to Germany.

Some English forces recalled to England to investigate rumors that the highlanders are rebellious again. Damn that Mel Gibson.

I just hope I dont end up having to acknowledge that "he who defends everything defends nothing".
