Anyone beat the lbm pallet in SP3?

Post by Dogfish »

Sky's of purple... oceans of grey... trees are orange... tail lights blue

Green armor is brown... brown armor is black and white....

Been making lbm's for SP3. Doing a scenario based on Ralph Peter's "The War in 2020". I'm starting with high quality jpgs and degrading them to crap when I load SP3's pallet. Now I know why the orig lbm's are black and white. Has anyone hacked the pallet problem? Can anyone put me on right track?
Thanks in advance

to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains

I hope to post it. I hope to finish it... getting the lbm problem fixed will be a big help. I've already done the M-100's with EM particle guns.... also Dragoons w/OICW's. Re-working the kob to only item's current and future. Using all new color photos... no drawings... except for some future stuff. Already changed headings in the exe file.... added categories like AirMech and C4I... will keep you posted here.

I have not hacked the palette problem, BUT I would like to know more about editing shp. I think WB refered to you as the Guru. What's the prefered method? PS. I will have to get a copy of that read.

Hope you're not referring to me. I've never hacked an .shp in my life. Too much work for this lazy old rockspider.

I do know something about editing MOBs/KOBs but I'm no Guru.

I know that Fred Chlanda made a proggie called 'SHPEd' to edit SHP files in the General's Series and SP Series. He included also a fix for SP SHP files that are not standard, because there is information about the rotating center in it i think. The program can convert between SHP and BMP files formats and has palettes included for conversion into SP, PG etc. He also made batch conversion utilities, but i did not use these ones yet.

His url should be : http://freds.webprovider.com/
