Provinces Not Ceded

Post by Falconius »

As Russia in 1792 scenario, had Austria Surrender in 1797. Chose 3 provinces for them to cede. They accept the treaty next turn, but instead of 3 provinces, I get 2 gold! I didn't even ask for gold!

The point value was 6500 out of 7000, so I had plenty of room there.

I was the only country they surrendered to. So no one else got the provinces, and they remained Austrian.

And I didn't choose his capital, I chose border provinces.

So what gives, why don't I get these provinces?

More importantly, is there a fix or a workaround to make the provinces mine? Can I go into the saved game files and change something to make the provinces mine?

See, now that's what I like, a Man of Action! I bet you just couldn't wait to get your hands on those frauleins. Gotta keep that Russian army track record consistant!

That's how you asked for gold:
The point value was 6500 out of 7000, so I had plenty of room there.

As Carnifex was saying, if you have any surrender points left over they are converted into additional reparations payments for you. Check the exact wording of the treaty once it has been ratified, it will also show you the dates when provinces are handed across, the usual timeline is you set out your demands, turn"1", the defeated power agrees, turn "2", the provinces become yours, turn "3". That is the beginning of the turn after the agreement is made.

I suggest you regularly check and read treaty information, you may spot a treaty between 3 or more AI powers all agreeing to declare war on you, and giving the date when they will do it! You might just need the extra months notice to concentrate your forces and organise your defence!
