Getting started with WiF using Vassel

A techincal issue:

Vassel and Wif runs fine on my wifes old stationary PC windows XP, 384ram og 1,1Gh processor with some kind of Nvidia card. But when I try it on my laptop it i keep getting a message saying the system has run out of memory(more ram more process power and a newer ATI graphic card), and then suggest that I lower the amounts of colors in the display setting.

from studying some post on the vassel forum it seems that the picture take up alot of memory.

Solutions so far from my side:

Increasing the sidecache file to 4000: Didnt help.
Set the resolution to 256 colors: Didnt help.

What I find odd is that it runs, slowly but it runs, in the old PC but not in a brand new laptop.

Problem fixed I downloaded the wrong Vassefile, not the Windowsvassel[:-].
