PBEM Scenario's?

Hi all,

Having recently bought the Generals Edition i'm now firing up some PBEM against Terminus.

I know some of the stock scenario's are suitable for PBEM but is there a lot of others that we can download that are suitable for non-AI play?

As far as kicking Terminus' arse, I can't speak to, but as far as PBEM games you might want to check out Dutchiexx's scenario list over on the Depot for scenarios that are specifically designed for PBEM. I did a quick search through the 1.03 version I had downloaded and found 12 instances of PBEM with six being from M4Jess's Willy's War series.

One of the best pbem scenarios that I have played is Goblin's "workhorses"

The map is realistic and while not necessarily historically researched it plays well from both sides. Both sides can win - I guess that means it is balanced.

And if you screw up you will get clobbered.

Play it over and over.

Another great pbem scenario is Wild Bill's "slaughterhouse at slutzk"
This one will test the Soviet player while giving the German player the feeling of superiority. Pit two experienced players against each other and the outcome is less than predictable.

Another one is my own "gotandas advance" Designed for version 5 it plays well in the later versions. The Australian player will be hard pressed to win but if he knows how to use his anti-tank guns and machine guns the Japanese player will have a run for his money. It is designed for play with CC on or off. Your choice. I haven't played it in v8.4 but I imagine it will be even more of a challenge for the Japanese player.
