Diplomatic suggestion

A worthwhile game which hopefully won't suffer the fate of Imperial Glory - if you take a look a their forum most are hopping mad about the latest 'patch' - most of the suggestions made for the patch are apparently to be included in an entirely new version according to some forum members - which is a pretty mean trick.



My suggestion is that diplomats should be limited in which diplomatic activities they can perform outside the capital of the country they are targetting.

i.e. Charm, Goodwill, Malign, Propaganda, Coup and Pressure Peace should only be effective in the capital province or should be much less effective outside it.

A minor change but I think the game should reflect the highly centralised nature of diplomacy in the nineteenth century - these small things cumulatively can be effective

Why do you think it is a mean trick? I don't understand. I'd have thought they would be tickled pink to get their suggestions built into the game. Or are these bug fixes you are talking about? By a new version, do you mean something people have to pay for?

the suggestion is that the new version is something they will have to pay for IG2 etc..also virtually none of the comments made by the IG forum members have been used in the patch which again addresses none of the major issues

Yuck! Well, with COG, WCS have been quite proactive about trying to fix bugs and throwing in a few freebie features/tweaks at the same time - which to my mind is the right way to do these things. Bigger enhancements may have to wait for a v2 or a different product, but they have already provided a number of smaller ones for free, with more on the way.
