RE: What what what!?!?!
I started WiTP last nite, got the manual printed at a local Kinkos. I played the tutorial for about an hour last night, the tutorial was well written out, someone did a good job on it![:)]. 68 pages for the tutorial [X(]. But now, i see why WiTP players are so hooked into this game. I just started a night ago and I'm already thinking about it [:D].

Yeah,
Ask your girlfriend to come back in 3 year's time, forget about attending night classes, sign a long term contract with pizza hut to deliver your weekend meals, cut your cable TV subscription, ... the list goes on... [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

RE: What what what!?!?!
Wow, took me 2 hours to do the japanese side on the tutorial tonight. I think I'll get faster with time though. One thing I'm puzzled about though, what's a fast way to find a destination hex that the tutorial tells me to go to without clicking on 20 hexes just to find 56,62?

Sensei Oleg says....
You are fine just with the official patches (1.60 is the latest). Download and use Subchaser's graphical map mod - looks much nicer than the stock map.
(The above may pass as subtle inside joke.)

I recommend you start with the 'Beta' 1.602. It's just as stable as 1.6 and it fixes some disappearing leader and disappearing unit problems. They stated that the next 'official' release will be quite some time away.

Bodhi's utility is great. Look in his signature for the link or at the wiki (link here) to find it

RE: What what what!?!?!
I bought the game as a download and thought it expensive so I can understand Jarhead's problem but I wanted it, like it and continually play it so per min its cheap.
As far as $5 beer is concerned, you can always go somewhere else and get it cheaper, unfortunately you can't do that with the game.

RE: What what what!?!?!
Ok, Ive been playing this game for 2 weeks now and i feel that i'm qualified to answer this thread seriously. The amount of work put into this game is mind boggling. It even has the names of individual pilots for crying out loud. Even the oil tankers have names! So yeah, I can see the reason for a $70 price tag. It may not be for everyone but neither is a $99 music mixing program at Best Buy or Fry's.
