Well, I thought that blurry pic of the Belgrano would confuse as well, but who knows given the people here.

Can't be the Belgrano, unless the pic is reversed. The only pic I've seen of the Belgrano indicates she was torpedoed on the port side, as she was listing to that side. Besides, it don't look like a Brooklyn class light cruiser.

The other one was the Belgrano. Not sure if the top pic was reversed or not - and no, I didnt think she looked like a Brooklyn cruiser either, but i assume she was refitted?

Hence the trick question.
