updated bug list ???

Post by WanderingHead »

Hi Matrix

Will the bug list be updated any time soon? I have submitted several bugs since that was posted, and it would be nice to know that it is on the list for consideration, so I don't repost.

Also, an ETA for the next patch would be cool!

thank you folks

No ETA on the last patch at the moment. The Online version has been much tougher than we had hoped, and has delayed us a lot. Originally I hoped the Online version would be out by now and we would be working on the next patch. Until we get over the hump on the Online programming we can't give a good estimate of when the next bug fix patch will be done. I'll try to post an update every week or two to let you know how things are progressing.

As for the bug list, I'm pretty sure that the bugs reported have been added to the list. Perhaps Paul will get a chance to post the current bug list sometime this week.

I must say I don't understand your priorities here...
why put so much effort on new features like online gaming (not an expected feature anyway, as far as I know) at the cost of delaying bug corrections (there are still some major bugs, unfortunately).
Having a working "standard" game before offering online gaming would make more sense to me. I suspect some marketing reasons behind this... [;)]
Nevertheless, thanks for this great game. [8D]

Yes, we concluded that it was important to get the online game out, and once started, it's hard and inefficient to switch gears. The online game has been much more difficult to program than first thought, and this has delayed things more than we expected. If things delay much longer, we may have to reconsider and try to put out a bug fix patch first. We'd really like to past the main technical hurdles on the online version first while it is fresh in Keith's mind before he switches off to the patch.
