Having been in the service back in the late 60's & early 70's, and doing what I did for my country in the Navy, that would be overseas on official business for the United states Government, (nice wording) I visited every Nato Base in Europe, in route to Southeast Asia, I miss those days and the beauty of all of Europe.

Come back When you can.

Yeah, I too have been embarrassed by "The ugly American", and thank God they are a true minority.
As I travelled around the world for my country, I sadly was made aware most of the world hates us for *being* Americans, (not just now), and the real ironic thing is that America was literally created by people from EVERY country on earth.
This cannot be said by ANY other nation on earth, so we Ami's are German, Irish, Danish, Swiss(ugh),Swazi,Aussie, French,Chinese,Beloruss,etc.........[8D]
