Methinks you've put up a too difficult one this time, Brady.

If I were at home (where my books are) I would have a better shot -

But my blind guess is it's a modern(fairly) Italian howitzer.[8|]

I'm thinking it's too small to be a regular howitzer... maybe a mountain gun?

i had a look but came up blank on a type or even the country of origin
my first thoughts were also an Italian (pack) howitzer, but I also think it could be Soviet but nothing definate to support my idea

well spotted on the wheel hooks

(good choice of pic, methinks that a wider view of the original photo could have given away too much)

ugh

My mind for some odd reason is drifting toward Japan or Taiwan.

I've seen the back of that truck before.

Looks like a large elevated pier visable in the background, bayside?

Just a quess

2.95in Vickers Mountain Gun.

The back of that truck to me appears to resemble somewhere between 1968 to 1970++ Toyota "H". Could be dead wrong though.

I was thinking that too, Soviet Bloc wheel rim & tire manufacture, cheap and trashy looking, but can't find anything. I also thought North Korea, again couldn't find anything.

I found a website that states, post WWII, countries, Luxembourg specifically (The Luxembourg Modification) were converting Brittish MKII C, 25 pounder to 105 Howitzers.

The website pictures are all copywritted and I can't grab it or enlarge it, but it does look very similar.

Is this one of those conversions?
