directdraw init failure

directdraw init failure

Whenever I start SteelPanthers the world at war, it plays through the intro and then i get a error message Directdraw Initialization error# 2147467259. Does anyone know what this is all about?

Do you have the latest version of DirectX?
Latest video card drivers? You could try reducing the hardware acceleration from
control panel/system/performance/graphics.
