Windows Me

I cant get game to run past initial menu. When I click to play I hear sounds video goes black then system locks up.

This is a dell pentium III 600 with ATI rage mobility 128 and 128 meg sdram

Lots of people are running it with Win ME. Are you still having this prob?

Thanks for reply, but I gave up on it. Nothing odd about the system just a plain ol Dell outta the box.

SPWaW Ver 5 has some fixes to systems crashing when playing some sounds. Perhaps you will just have to wait until then.

After talking to some of my friends, I think if I got a NEW CPU I'd reformat ME off of it and add 98 or 2000, but hopefully 5.0 rev3 will work with out this hitch. :p

I'm using ME without any problems. What do you start the game with, shortcut? I use mech.exe for my shortcut target.
