Surviving the KB

Two weeks into the war (Dec 22), the KB has returned to Hawaii. (I'm the Allies). Their CAP crushed the full base strike Pearl sent after them while their bombers went transport hunting. What do I do?
It seems like my only option is to turn all the convoys around and head back towards the West Coast until the KB will goes away. But then the KB can just rearm, come back and blast the convoys again. My carriers are elsewhere, but it seems suicidal for them to attempt to interfere anyway. Am I just stuck hoping the KB is wasting its time near Hawaii? Any suggestions?

PS yes, I'm a newbie at this playing someone who isn't.

Try avoiding convoys to PH for now......Pearl will be fine on I'ts own for a few weeks.....Route supply south to Suva......Via somewhere like Christmas Il.... supply and fuel is more vital in the South Pac. at this point. There will be time to resupply Pearl later.

Prep airgroups for Pearl so next Time he comes back your LRB will be massed against him. You will lose a lot of planes but it's worth it if you can hit a Carrier as he is a long way from home......

The good news is that you know where KB is, so make him chase your Carriers by raiding where KB isn't.....this will draw him away from Pearl, as he will have to support his landings elsewhere.....

indeed the great weakness of the KB early war is that it can only be ONE PLACE AT A TIME. So what you do to defeat the KB is basically this: don't be where the KB is. So he's hitting pearl? So what? is he gonna take it over? No. Is he gonna blow it to smithereens? Probably. But the good news is, as long as when he is gone (and he will be within a matter of days, probably not even of weeks, I give him 10 days big maximum) you can still use Pearl as a refuel point for ships, then it was a victory for you, especially if you managed to use your cariers successfully elsewhere. The KB is referred to on these forums as the "Death Star". Simply do like the rebels in star wars then. Hide, and hit where the death star isn't.
