No Videos?

Post by mcaryf »

I have seen in some places that GGWAW will work with WinME (which I have) and in others that it requires XP.

As far as I can tell it is working fine from a game point of view on my ME system but I never get any video clips although I have video checked in the preferences.

Is my lack of video due to ME and might I find some nasty other game breaking problems after I have invested several hours of game time?

I think it may have something to do with your directX, is it the latest?

We know videos don't work with Win 2000 so they probably also don't work with Win ME.

Thanks Joel.

I can live without videos but might there be any other funnies you already know about with ME - I see some of your "literature" says XP only.

BTW I do not get any buttons on the replay except one just outside the graphic that seems to drive play from the turn end so I am just about functionally OK for the main objective.

Perhaps I should also mention I have Pentium 1.4 with 256mb ram which may also be a little bit light.

Regards
Mike

No other known problems, but then we didn't test the game on ME so we can't say what other problems you might have.

Fair enough.

I will continue to tell you about any I find for the benefit of other users although I will not necessarily expect you to fix them.
