Futher to Game Won't Start

I wrote in the other day that I couldn't get SP Waw to start. Since then I downloaded again, this time from the Matrix site and it runs just fine. So I don't need any help after all. I wonder if the other site ( a mirror from Finland, advertised as fast) was the problem. Anyway, looking forward to hours of fun with what looks like the best thing out. Thanks, Matrix.

Becasue the download is so large, even the 1 in a billion error rate of the error correction most software uses will mean that most downloads will have a bit error somewhere. Mostly its somewhere where it does no harm, but other times it casuses a CRC error or a "disk 2" error of just sits there gumming up the works.

If you are having trouble getting the game to run, try downloading it again...

On the CD we have duplicated key files (like vid998.smk) so if somehow a disk write error occurs thaere is a backup copy on the CD.
