Resolution, Alt-tabbing and C47s - a few n00b questions

Post by soraz »

Hi,

I'm quite new to this game, but find it immensly entertaining so far.

I have a couple of questions, some of which are probably answered within the many many many threads of this forum, but so far I have been unable to unearth them myself.

1) Is it possible to change the resolution of the game to run at i.e. 1280x1024 ?
2) Sometimes, the game gets stuck in a way that requires a total machine reboot. I can't even
bring forth the task manager to kill it. This is usually after having alt-tab'ed away. Is alt-tab'ing a "bad thing" to do when playing this game?
3) What is the function of C47s? It seems they only move 4-5 hexes pr round, but i'm assuming thats their taxiing speed, no?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, btw, I'm using 8.40. I had problems with the screen going black when getting op-fire, but it turned out to go away if I disabled my fan-control (abit-eq) before launching the game.

resolution cannot be changed

Alt tab is not recommened, altho I have had no trouble when I do it,
make sure you have as little programs running in background as possible, SPWAW is a memory hog

C47 are transport planes for doing para drops...
you load your paratroopeers in them, themn in the deploy menu, set up where and when you want them to air drop

Hope this helps...
