Argh I hate turn 1

Post by mogami »

Hi, Crap crap crap.
I went through every single Japanese LCU assigning objectives, giving movement orders and setting replacement on or off.
I went and set up Japanese production.
I went and made every TF and assigned leaders and objectives
I began working on airgroups and discovered I had selected the wrong preferance and could not change upgrade paths. In a normal game I would accept this but in these "All or nothing" attempts at autovictory I need the upgrade option.
I have to start all over" argh argh argh (I need a beer bad right now)

No, No, stay mad and have a 24 pack. [:D] Send those initial assaults to the far ends of the map. [:)] You don't need to take the DEI, attack San Francisco first. [8|]

Still nothing but waiting. I have "regular" non lunatic game with Mog and it progresses with it's usual pace... Perhaps he changed his mind? In fact I think Japanese have quite fine chance to win by AV without any "lunatic" play. Just being very aggressive and having generous helping of good luck. SNLF invasion on San Diego sounds intriguing though [:D]

Hi, I am working on the turn but it does not help that I get a PBEM turn every 20 minutes. Maybe I should take a day off from PBEM and just do the new turn. (Turn 1 takes a lot longer then a normal PBEM turn does but when you do 20+ PBEM turns a day there is little time left over)
Just finished giving orders to all Japan subs.

So far I have
1. Issued orders to LCU in China/Indo China
2. Made production changes
3. Ordered submarines
4. disbanded all existing TF except for CV/replenishment/Bonin Island (South Sea Detachment and bombardment) formed single TF where ships had been already loaded with troops.

Still have to
1. form and load all my TF and then assign escort/bombardment
2. Alter Airgroups move and issue orders
3. Issue orders to other LCU

Hi, I have already devoted more time to this turn then I have to any turn 1 for quite a while. However I have had to restart this turn 4 times now. I have never finished a turn 1 in under 16 hours. (it's mostly just keystrokes zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz[>:]) Thinking of the plan does not count because I don't begin entering orders before I have the broad outline of the plan already conceived. It comes into shape as I issue orders.

Not yet AFAIK, but have some mercy on poor old Mog, perhaps from our "regular" game, where I am IJN, he realized IJN may win without any lunacy so he shelved his plans [:D] (joking)

Unlikely; Ol' Mog is what some of my English mates would call "a right nutter". He'll find the time.

Oleg: " WITP is clearly biased to the Allied player wah wah wah (sob) (sniffle) "

(In fact I am not doing another PBEM turn before I finish turn 1 for this game)

LOL I was joking obviously... I know you just let me take all those places so as to minimize the brain wear in the opening stages for the Allies. (Keep them little gray cells in good shape you'll need them for "lunacy" game [8D]).

In short No more "Mr Nice Mogami" for these games I will be " Mogami the Terrible"
(That "Meanest Japanese player" thread got me thinking that perhaps I am too nice. So I am going to see if I could be mean if I really wanted to.

uh oh....Goodbye Russians. [:D]
