The idle Polish gentry

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

The idle Polish gentry

Post by Soft Heap »

Hi,

Q: Playing as Austria/1792 I conquered Poland and now I've got 4 Polish generals including Poniatowski subsiding near Krakow for years. What does this mean, I can't persuade them to serve the Austrian case nor do they head of to France or Sweden. Can't I just get rid of them, they begin to annoy me a little bit?!

Hand in hand, Kameraden!

They're there waiting for the day in which Poland regains Her independence. They're not hurting anybody...

It's going to be a long wait until November 1918, might as well break out the vodka...

Hmm: possible feature for a expansion pack: generals whose country dousn't exist could join the "revolt" of the player who is oppressing their countrymen. Revolts could more actively make alliances with other countries against their oppressor. Hmmm.
