Kampfgruppe Erwin -- Unser Krieg

August 1939: As part of Pz Verbande Ostpreussen, (Panzer Unit East Prussia), I have been assigned command of a "Schnellegruppe" (mobile group) which comprises two SS Schuetzen Kp (mot), a leichte Pz Kp (17 Pz I, 5 Pz II), a mot Pionier Zug, two Flak Pz HZg (4 20-mm Flak), two Pz Jg HZg (4 37-mm PaK), and two le IG HZg (4 75-mm leIG). An Aufkl Kp is also assigned to us, with 4 SdKfz 231-8, 4 SdKfz 221, two Kradschuetzen Zuge, and two Spaehtruppen Grp mounted on SdKfz 4 (Stoewer) cars. Rumor has it that we will be participating in a parade to honor the anniversary of the Battle of Tannenberg.
