Problem with online-playing

Post by RubberDuck »

I`m trying to play online-game with my friend.
Everything goes just fine until all units have been deployed and the game should start..
In the beginning of the first turn, before either has time to do anything comes a message somewhat like this:
RubberDuck`s OOB #70 is different
and then the game crashes.
We both have version 6.1

Thanks in advance,
RubberDuck

Rubber Duck: It looks like one of you changed his OOB's (if not you've got a contaminated file) It is mandantory in the game that both files be identical. It is a cheat protection (so to speak).

Well, the 'changed' OOB is mine but I haven`t done anything with it..
So, what to do next?
I tried re-installing, didn`t help.. : <img src="mad.gif" border="0">

Either you or your opponent can e-mail a copy of your OOB's to the other. The person receiving the OOB's should copy their existing OOB's to a temp directory and install their opponents...this way your can restore your original OOB's. I've heard of some players swapping between several OOB's depending on the opponent.

got the same problem, without changing the oobs of either player. After copying them from one player to the other it worked fine. Problem ocured again after installing SPWAW new, but the above procedure helped again.
