Fun Playtoy for the Americans

Post by Tankerace »

Even though it was considered failure, and disbanded after 3 month, WPO in 1928 allows Allied players a chance to play with the Experimental Mechanized Force, also known as the Mechanized Brigade:

It conists of a Heavy Tank Battalion (of Mk VIII Liberty Tanks), a Light Tank Battalion (Of M1917s), and Infantry Battalion, an Artillery Battalion, and an Engineer and Signals Company.

This force would have been a failure, and probably would be in WPO too. The slow, WWI era tanks aren't fast enough for wide flanking moves, and for a slow, deliberate attack with tactics of the time it doesn't have enough infantry support. However, with tatics of the time, If the force is divided and parcelled out to infantry divisions, it may find some success.
