Corrupted download -- a LITTLE bit frustrated...

Post by ErisDiscordia »

Hi all,

I know I'm shooting for the moon here, but can anybody out there think of a way to fix a corrupted download without spending anouther roughly 36 hours of non-free (Czech) download time?

I can't even unzip the .exe file. It jumps ship at about 16 percent.

I. am. a. little. bit. frustrated. here.

Sincerely,
Erik Piper

Did you use a download manager to download it? If so you may be able to "roll it back" some and try to recover, but unfortunately the internet (particularly phone lines) were not designed for large downloads like this. The odds getting it uncorruptedin one shot with out a download manager is about zero.

Oh yes, I certainly wouldn't leave my phone line tied up for 36 hours straight! So of course a manager (GetRight specifically) was the only option.

Please, if you can, explain how this is done in GetRight. If it saved me even 10 of the lost hours, I'd be grateful forever and you'd save me from being stuck playing PG3D:SE until the Czechs start selling Matrix Games games or until my font of patience once again floweth over.

Cheers,
