Pretty sure this forum is the wrong place to try to recruit people for an FPS. I play the occasional one but they tend to bore me after about 10 hours of total gameplay...[:'(]
Yamato, IMO the best looking Battleship.

No wonder you can't sleep. Stop stimulating yourself for 48 hours and let nature take its course.

Nope, they evolved. Now, they buy a gun and "rally round tha family, with pockets full of shells" ((c) Zack de la Rocha).

Still OT, but I just got HL2 at Fry's. My eyes are bugged out from a 3 hour marathon. Absolutely incredible graphics. Butter smooth with the Radeon x850.

It'll have to go, of course, if it interferes with my conquest of the Pacific.

Hi Marky, don't bother with playing HL2, it's a real disappointment. Stick with HL1 instead its a MUCH better game.

If you want a REALY excellent FPS go for FARCRY. The graphics in that game will make your eyes water (actual birds, butterflies and fishes are shown) and the AI is also very good. Far cry is also situated on some remote pacific island where you run into al kind of WWII leftovers, like a beached carrier, rusted tanks, downed betty's and zero's. The game is free playing, leaving you to explore the mostly HUGE island maps at will.

I will send an aerial picture of the "carrier island" with this post just to show exactly how BIG these maps are, note the beached carrier to the north and the old WWII fortress to the south. After playing FAR CRY, HL2 will be a mere shadow…

There's no way you clan iz better then mine[;)]
BTW I don't play BF2 (although we have a section for it too) but Call of Duty. We're not the best players in the world but we have a lot of laughs together. We regularly me(e/a)t, drink, make LANs. Beer and BBQ are the foundations of our clan. Not that I brag, but I'm the clan's Chief Cheff, in charge of BBQ IRL and clanwise I get to ban clan members (should the need for some disciplinarian action arise) from all clan sub-forums save for the Kitchen[:D]
When I look back I fought hard against playing FPSs, God forbid joining a clan. First I played CoD v. a human player I had a heart-attack every time I got killed. Now, although I'm very good FPS player I play in the A team just beacuse I know what patience is. Wargame experience helps there. Kids playing FPSs just run around killing everything at sight with extreme efficency. But discipline can counter enything. Cool heads win the wars.
Cheers.

Willie, that's excellent map. Do you have any others? I would love to revisit those sites I fought so hard some time ago.

But, I think something's wrong with this one. I remember that coastal fortress level, but there is no beached carrier in it. You come by inflatable boat to some wooden houses, and then walk up to the fortress. Carrier should be one or two levels before.

HI Lord, is just googeld farcry screenshots and came out with this one (second or third link).

I did't think about it, but your right. The carrier level is indeed BEFORE the fortres level. Lets say it's some artisticall freedom [;)]
