Hi,

What kinds of error message do you get?

Just installed SP3 on my machine to see if I could get it to work. It did - without any special work. Installed, ran setsound and played a bit of the game. Only one tiny problem: I installed from my f-drive (dvd) but SP3 wanted the CD in the e-drive (CDRW). I guess it can only see c-, d_ and e-drives...

Some old software will only access the first cd drive on your system. Or only 1 drive on a multicd changer.

Lars: Had the same problem with an 'D' drive and 'M' drive. 'M' was my original drive. 'D' drive was my CDRW drive. I installed SPIII from my 'M' drive but it only would run from 'D'. Ran real good I may add. Tried another game same results. Tried a few other items same same. Asked around and got no real good results, went to HP site and found a fix. Here it is, use it if you want, no guarentees.
Open Control Panel, Systems, Open Device manager, Open CDROM, Go to properties Tab, change start drive letter to D end drive letter to E. Now repeat for your slave or next drive letter should be E and end drive letter E if thats all the drives other than A and C which should be ok. Then everything (I hope) should be back to normal, you don't even have to reload or reboot. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
