No bridge destroyed

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

No bridge destroyed

I bought the game a few days ago and so far I've never seen the german AI blowing any bridge whereas it should a comman defense/delay tactic.

Am I missing something ?

AI can be quite effective at blowing bridges. Whether a specific area of the map is targeted for bridge blowing is one of the commands in the AI operation... this factor is also period of the game specific (whether the AI is given a priority mission to blow bridges or not).

AS JSS says, the AI is quite good at blowing bridges, if it is given its head. What its less good at doing is ensuring that all the tracked units are on the right side of the bridge before it's blown! So the scenario designer typically won't allow open slather, but will choose where and when this should be allowed for AI units.

I wouldnt worry about the enemy AI.........I blew a hole in the British lines and poured all my armored units through it, and the British AI just stood there :)::)

a PBEM game is faster than a game against the AI. And the opponent is better :)

I would play PBEM a lot but I always get my butt kicked in these kind of games and I am not sure I want to start off as Fodder for someone right away [:'(]
