Ships located in inland provinces

It may have been reported previously, but I have noticed an oddity in that AI ship somehow seem to get pushed into inland provinces and then are stuck there. I would expect them to be pushed out to sea if they have to leave the port in the coastal province.

Thanks for reporting this - it is a known issue, but there seem to be several different circumstances causing it, and I don't think we have found them all yet. Can you remember the circumstances surrounding what you saw?

I've seen it in my current game. It was funnier yet because in Sweden and France, both fleets were loaded. Overall, it seems that later in the game you see more landbound ships. I might have helped the French by convincing them to liberate Ostfriesland so the Batavian army that was shipbound may have gotten off. I can't see that fleet now due to FOW.

Happened in my game in Austria with me playing France. I had seen some ghostly landship movement before in the Austrian regions and after I took Tyrolia from them and forced them into an alliance they simply forget some frigates there.

Just got back in town from a work trip. I don't remember the circumstances. I will keep an eye out for it again and pass along details when I see it next.

We know about the one where an army/corps in on board a fleet when it loses a battle and gets retreated inland (and the fleet is stuck there for the rest of the game).

In 1.1, I think some inland provinces were building the odd frigate, and Eric has caught that - I am not seeing that one in the beta anymore.

There may still be a couple of other instances (especially of a lone ship turning up inland) - unforntuantely a save after it is happened is usedless to diagnose th problem: we need to know HOW the damn thing got there.
