A Tribute to the Believers...

Post by KG Erwin »

...the players who earlier invested in this game, and believed in what Shaun was doing. I tip my hat to you. I joined up rather late in the evolution of the process, but I am very happy I paid the price to hop on the bandwagon.

For you guys who are waiting to purchase this game, you will NOT be disappointed. The dedication of Shaun and the contributions of the original Pure Sim community who offered suggestions follows in the tradition of Matrix' philosophy of games being made BY gamers.

I offer a sincere thanks to all of you. [&o]

Yea, not to be too corny, but this is a pretty big milestone for me. I actually started designing and coding earlier versions of PureSim in 1998. So this is rewarding.

Here's to looking forward to PureSim 2006!

It's actually quite funny how I got involved in this game. I had visited download.com in search of a simple, low-system requirement, entertaining baseball game for my laptop. I found PSB v7.0 and started playing- it was love at first pitch. The fictional player creation and management instantly reminded me of a game I heartily loved and desperately missed; Hardball III for the Sega Genesis. This game, as PSB does now, allowed me to create fictional players and manage them in a hands-on gaming environment (as console games typically go).

Though it was the recollection of my Hardball III custom team that initiated the link with PSB, it was the very essence and content of PSB itself that made me fall in love. v7.0 led me to the web site which led me to v8.21 which led me to purchasing the whole shibang which led me to RC1 and the opportunity to help Shaun develop the MP system with his own MP league.

It's funny how things come around. I'll tell you one thing... I have never, and never expect to, come across a level of support and attention to the owners and players of a game as I have for PureSim Baseball. Understandably, Shaun may not always agree with different person's opinions, but he always acknowledges it and responds whenever possible/applicable.

Even if he declines on all 50 of your suggestions, the guy somehow found the time (a rare commodity as things go) to READ all 50, PROCESS all 50 and make a DECISION on all 50. You're not going to find that anywhere else.

I'm glad, honored, privileged, fortunate, [insert other complimentary word here] to be part of the PSB Family.

Thanks, Shaun and thanks to every other PSB player.
