heheh I like this new toy!!
Can you name all the units, using the new Icons from Flashfyre and Losqualo?
Germans and Russians on the left
USA and Brits on the right
The ID flags are the new smaller and better placed ones from Lahtinen.

VERY nice, Alby.

At some point, I hope to present a "parade ground" pic of my entire Marine Combat Team 5 (IF it will fit in one shot).

Isn't this new toy great! [:D]

Russians look a little better than this picture shows, against that flat green background.

Actually I would say it is about ready, I just have no where to post it at the moment!!

Havnt heard anything from my testers in a few days so that means the errors they were finding are growing smaller!

How big is it (the mod you pervs [:-] )?

I can find somewhere for it even if I upload it to my Combat Campaigns website and we use links from the Depot (and ACG/SZO of course).

Is it done or only done for now, so far? [;)]

Statement: These are beautifully done. My congratulations to these fine artists.

Questions:

1. Will using this mod mean that only other players with the same mod be able to play them or will their game just show the older icons and map features?

2. Is there any guide to anything that we would normally see in play or design?

3. Is there a list of all the changes that can be read?

4. When can we get it and where can we get it.

Please advise on the first and last one. This is important to me.

The tanks appear to be quite accurate. They also seem more in scale. The new id flags are ideal and do not hide the fine artwork. This is great stuff. My congratulations to all the team!

Yes, I would think so because of the OOB changes. Graphics and icons probably only affect what each player sees in his game so only he would need that part.

WB, have you looked over the new Modswapper included with SPWAW? Basically it is a tool that allows you to install/uninstall MOD'S without having to manually move, copy or accidentally overwrite any original files. People familiar with the Combat Mission series would recognize Modswapper as a tool very similiar to CMMOS.

That should be something we should know for sure before it is offered to the public. Scenario designers would be reticent to use them if it does limit play to only those who have the mod.

As to modswapper, I've heard of it. I don't know if I have a copy. Where is it found, Mike? Or anyone?

The downside again is that I can use it for myself but when we are talking about swapping out OOBs then we are talking about the player having those same different (make sense?) OOBs.

I generally avoid using mods or changes in design though I can enjoy them for myself. The only time I would use them in design is when it will not affect the play of those who don't have them, or they become universally accepted and used.

Even this 1.2 and 2.0 version conflict disturbs me. It should not be that way but sometimes progress is costly. What do you think of 2.0, Mike? And the rest of you playing?

Its part of SPWAW now (since version 8.2 maybe???). Look in your Matrix Games\Steel Panthers World At War Folder. You should see a file named "ModSwap.EXE". Double click and check it out. I mainly use if for installing the latest graphic mods. I have yet to find the readme.txt file for it but the Depot has a step by step explaination posted I think.

Yes, SPMBT. I would wish for a compatibility between the two for scenarios but that does not appear to be a valid hope.
