April 3rd. I will spare you the AAR.Not much activity today. A tentative attack in Chungking failed to dislodge the Japanese, so I guess it will be a long battle for the city; Lae seems to be out of comission. No Jap flights rise to meet my bombers

Air action over Rabaul yields better results for Japan, but still heavy losses for the Japanese. Air action over Rangoon again yields heavy Japanese losses. It may be that the Jap training scheme is reaching its breaking point. If so, offenssive operations may start early...
