Greek battleship (pre dreadnaught lemnos or Kirkis) sunk 1941

Formerly either USS Mississippi or USS Idaho (whose sale to Greece provided over half the money needed to built the new USS Idaho).

Sigh. I thought I was being clever by using a non-common photo... (*gives Tankerace a dirty look*)

Trojan's post appears first, but both you guys were quick off the mark.

The photo caption indicates that the ship is the Greek battleship Kilkis (ex USS Mississippi), sunk at the Greek naval base at Salamis by German Stuka's, 23 April 1941.

I hope that my photo's are, if not challenging, at least entertaining...

Truthfully, Ive never seen that particluar one before. Very good shot actually.

I love seeing these photos, especially the rare ones.
