Norm Koger's The Operational Art of War III is the next game in the award-winning Operational Art of War game series. TOAW3 is updated and enhanced version of the TOAW: Century of Warfare game series. TOAW3 is a turn based game covering operational warfare from 1850-2015. Game scale is from 2.5km to 50km and half day to full week turns. TOAW3 scenarios have been designed by over 70 designers and included over 130 scenarios. TOAW3 comes complete with a full game editor.

Playing as Germans. Noticed that E.USA (The US capital, no less) was empty. So I put a transport off the west coast of France. Next turn, the capital was still empty, so I boarded two infantry, and cruised over to E. USA. Observed 6 infantry, an armor and a couple of fighters in W. USA. So, I only drop one of the infantry into E. USA, taking all the US money. On the American turn, not only do the Yankees not attack me, they board transports in the Pacific, and head off and attack the Japs. [8|]

Unreal.

You want to know what is more unreal? Look at the included interview on the CD. There is Larry Harris with a big huge grin facing the camera, talking about how smart the AI is, and how the average player is going to get their ass kicked by it.

I can't. My copy of the game was on Ebay before the CD Drive had spun down from installing it. (Bought it for solo play).

Did it say at the bottom of the manual "Thanks to all the kind folks at Larry's Lobotomy Labs for their extensive playtesting efforts"? [:D]

Yup, they spent a whole page of the manual just to state how well the quality control (beta testing) was... I still don't understand that one either. One theory is that Larry was smoking the crack-pipe too much during the development, and the coders breathed in a few too many fumes along with the rest of management.
