RE: Mare Nostrum
AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/09/41
Supplies are already loading at brisbane and Madras for Rangoon and PM. But my goal is just to delay for the moment....
Today wasn't a so bad day.
HK is still holding the ground.
Lost Kota Baru, but my idea is to make a stand with all my malaya inf units in the woods....he has 2 bdes and the 18th Div, with probably the 5th comming from Songhia. I'll try to delay him. Supplies are on route from Batavia to Singapore. Buffalos will stay as long as possible at Singa...
With Mindanao already in his hands, my ships fleeing from Manila are having a bad time. 4 more ships sunk today...and 3 more won't see a tomorrow...but it's ok! The idea of having my BBs ready to fight is very very cool[:D]
His CVs are still lingering between Celebes and Luzon...
Not a single Jap fleet sighted south of Davao....probably he's not comming for Ambonia,Darwin and Timor....[:D] That's a wonderfull news.
Still organizing things at PH. CVs are comming back and troops are starting to be loaded at SF. First step will be the fortification of Palmyra and Christmas Island.
Revange and Repulse won't arrive at Karachi. They are still struggling at 6 knots to get to batavia[:(]
One of my dutch sub scored the first hit and sunk a jap AP[8D] with the allied sub OFF it's going to be a real pain for him[:D][:D][:D]
In China he's going for Ichang....i'm moving to siege Canton and preparing to move from Changsha[8|]
4 of my DDs got badly beaten by his CAs...we do not stand a chance for the moment

RE: Mare Nostrum
AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/10/41
Another day of pain for the western powers. Ships fleeing from Manila keep being sunk by the combo KB-BabyKB-Betties/Nells from Davao. Revenge managed to get to Batavia today. If the KB will stay few more days away i will probably be able to send it back to Karachi...if the KB comes to Java...well..no way to save it.
The only good news of the day is given to me by CA Huston. She attacked south of Guam some APs and sunk one who was transporting the HQ of combined fleet[:D]
In Burma he's comming towards Mouleim with the 55th Div...lets see how many divs he will engage in Burma. For the moment in Malaya only the 18th with 2 bdes are spotted.
HK holds....for the moment.
China seems quiet, but 12 units are moving towards Ichang.
The plamyra fortification started today. AA,CD and Eng are being sent from PH.
The reorganisation is till under way.

What is your defensive plan on DEI...??? You making a stand or do you simply retreat?

RE: Mare Nostrum
With the whole combined fleet stationed in DEI and SRA it would be stupid to stand with the RN and the ducth fleet, above all after the torpedoeing of repulse and revange. I'm planning to give hims some headhaces in Malaya, fighting all the way to Singapore. In Java i won't evacuate any single unit. Just the short legged recon planes are being trasfered towards India and Oz. The rest of the Ducth Air forces will stay and fight till the bitter end. Every single day gained here, means a tresure of time for the pacific theatre. If he will be hard pressured in DEi and SRA and Burma he'l have to overcommitt...and so he won't have any divisions of CVs left for places like Palmyra,Canton isl,Christmas isl, Bora Bora etc...
In Malaya i'll make a first stand 3 hexes north of Singapore, in the woods. Then we'l move back towards Jahore Baru for another stand. Then Singapore. I'll keep some 3 buffalos squadrons at Singa....and the AVG is ready at Rangoon....
What remains of the RN surface fleet is assembling at Diamond Harbour. We'll try to bomb his divs as soon as they come for Mouleim. Slow him down....that's the rule!

Another day of wrecks and duck hunting. His CVs are sloughtering what was the Manila Fleet between Mindanao and Palau....it's a pain[:@]

another day of pain for the western powers.
More ships sunk between Mariannas and Luzon. No way to escape from his Carriers.
Tomorrow my BBs will bomb Wake...just to keep him honest in the Eastern Pacific[:D]
At the moment the 55th Div is moving towards Mouleim, the 5th,18th and 2 Bdes are conquering Malaya....so many Divs are missing...where are they going? Darwin?..probable
with only 2 divs to face in Malaya i think i have a good chance of dalaying him a bit here....
China is still a mess. All my units are moving. He's going for Ichang
HK holds the ground! He had retreated one div from HK probably because he spotted my units N-W of Canton: good! He cannot feel safe nowhere!
Waiting for the 3rd Carrier to come at PH...then we'll start raiding the Tarawa area.
Troops and supplies are moving to Palmyra: the first step of my eastern defensive perimeter.
Alor Star and Pontianak ( Borneo) fell today.

I'll be interested to see how you keep the battleline employed. Never had the opportunity, so I've never even thought about how to use it. Great idea for Wake.

RE: U.S. BBs on the run!
15/12/1941
Today he bombed Rangoon. i had there 10 buffalos and 10 old british fighterbombers. No way to stand a chance against his zeros. Rangoon AF has been evacuated for the moment.
He's massing his ships at Kunching. Probably he's moving for Palembang.
BC repulse has repaired his floating damage and now is going back from Batavia to Colombo. PoW is still in danger of sinking.
What remains of the RN surface fleet is grouping at Diamond Harbour.
3 CVs now at PH. 28 more days to have the Lady Lex. Then we'll start to raid his positions in eastern Pacific[8D]
BBs are safely comming back. 2 Days and they'll be at PH.
Spotted a big TF moving for Kendari or Ambonia
Lark forces evacuated from Rabaul and moving for Thursday Island.
14k supplies sailing from Brisbane to PM.
Georgetown in Malaya is about to fall.
HK holds his ground tight.
I need at least 2/3 more weeks to reorganize the complex of my forces in the different theatres...

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/16/41
A day that makes me wonder....
He managed to place 70,000 men at S.Marcelino( Luzon ). The base was empty cause all my guys have moved towards Clark Field. What looks strange to me is the composition of his forces... 4 SNLF units...6[X(]AA units, 7[X(] Heavy Arty units, 2 Eng rgts and a bunch of construction Bns and 4 tank regiments...[X(][X(][X(].... Seems that he brought to Luzon his whole inventory of guns but very few assault units...[&:][&:]
Well...if it's so, the better[:D]
He's riding south in Malaya. My defensive positions are almost ready. the AVG and 3 buffalos groups will try to defend the sky of Singapore, causing as much damage as possible to his crack pilots
14k supplies are unloading at Singapore. 14k more are loading at Madras and will go to Singa...oh, well...they will try to get there[:)]
In China the flanking movements achieved a strategical victory: he's retreating from Ichang[8D] I'm retreating too....flexibility!!
He bombed Tarakan today with 6 BBs...what a waste of precious ammos....
No signs of the Death Star...it's probably lingering and refuelling at Truk.
One Jap sub has been badly hit near PH...

RE: U.S. BBs on the run!
Actually, the SNLF units are almost 100% pure combat troops, very small support tail. Also those armor regiments can be nasty. That's a pretty fine force composition to keep you pinned down, he ain't gonna take Luzon from you with it though.

Well...probably sounds strange to me just because i use a complete different OOB asset for my attack forces. for these kind of operations i always tend to use 1 Army HQ,1-2 Divisions,1-2 Regiments or Brigades,2 Eng rgts,2 Arty units for every Division used and 2 Tank rgts. I seldom rely on the SNLF units for the frontal assaults

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/21/41
Another quiet day.
He's advaning in Malaya with 6 units now. My new defensive perimeter is ready. Now i need some good dice and roll:-)
Still too early to plan a big defensive plan. For the moment i try to remain as flexible as possible and delay him everywhere i can without losing too many naval and ground assets.

Calm down mate[;)]..he's gonna crash my line anyhow. No way to stop those yellow devils with these Tommies[:D]. He can use his bombers to decimate my troops and smash down my perimeter. However here my goal is to gain time. I'll try to exchange time for space. As soon as i consider a position undefendable i'll move back and form a new line. every day gained in Malaya is a tresure for India, Australia and the Pacific.
