When they did the remake of steel panthers they striped the modern part out and only left the WW2. Will this also be the case for TOAW.

Ill still buy it becouse in TOAW you really feel in control from a higher lvl of command then you did in BIN. But to be frank im sick of WW2 and want some modern operationel wargame.

Whats wrong with the present? the past have been done to death.

I don't believe this is the case at all. If you go to here http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forum ... hp?t=33232
you will hear from the developer what he intends to do. I expect this game to be better all around than it's predecessor for modern, WW2, and napoleonics.

That's misleading in the extreme. Siberian HEAT isn't a developer- he's just been asked by Matrix to round up a list of desired changes from the community. That's what the list you linked to is- a set of suggestions from players. It's no indication as to what will be in the game.

Mind you, I doubt that there's any danger of it having a narrower scope that COW does currently.

The initial release will most likely be Norm's unreleased 1.07 patch, rebalancing of current scenarios due to 1.07 changes, and some new scenarios designed for this release. There might be other things fixed in the code beyond the 1.07 changes, but most enhancements will be in follow on releases.

I don't know. But it sounds like he's developing the game to me.

-Okay. I understand what you mean now. ( he's not listed as part of the development team) However, I dare say he's doing as much (perhaps more) right now to develope the game as anyone.

I don't see this as likely. Besides, I think part of the reason SPWAW developed along the lines it did was because other WWII and Modern (SPMBT) variants were available. Not the case with Opart.
