The mouse click on assigning bombardement is working bizarre, never acts at the first click, also the scroll is crazy you cann't control it.

I'm having the same problem. The scrolling works fine except in the bombardment screen, then it goes crazy. Mouse click problem is a known issue, Matrix is supposed to be looking into it.

scroll speed on this windows seems not be affected by these preference.
Event setting this preference to 5, the scroll in the bombardement window is crazy.

This may be another one of those "system specific" bugaboos, related to video cards/settings.

One of the biggest improvements I made on my Dell 2400 video setup was changing the color quality to "medium (16 bit)".

One of the peculiar quirks of SPWaW is the problems it has with high-end video cards. The game defaults to 800*600 screen resolution, so maybe this is part of the problems being encountered? (wild guess).

I tried executing the program 640 480 and 256 colors and the problem persist.

But KG Erwin give me an idea and I executed the program with the comptability with Windows 98 checked: It works fine now.

Thank you.

You're welcome, Enric. This is another problem/solution we can add to the "Technical Issues" thread. [:)]

Tried the Windowws 98 compatibility mode and it didn't change anything for me. I wonder if everyone who is having the problem has hyperthreading. I know this caused problems in Panzer Elite.

SamWolf,

Did you execute the mech.exe in compatibility mode?
Not the spwaw.exe or any other.

Do you know where to delete the mouse 'click' sound file? The snapping sound hurts my ears. [:(]

Did you mean the sound you hear when selecting a unit or using "next"?

This sound is located on:
matrix games\stell panther world at war\SND\1.wav

move this sound out of this folder and you will get no sound in these actions.
BTW, Keep this sound in a forder where you can recover it if you change your mind
