Can't see battle animations

Right after installing v 1.6 battle animations are not shown, only battle reports. any help welcome.

hi, check your settings (options) in the main screen again. I think you have to enable this (and some other) options every time after you patched to the new version

i did it, but nothing happens. i forgot this is a pbem

The Japanese player sets those switches for both of you in PBEM.

I seem to remember it sometimes takes a few turns to get back into sync
