FINANCES

Post by Herrbear »

If you have 3 teams in the New York area, does the game take that into account regarding finances or does it treat each one as the only team in that area.

Thank you.

I'm fairly certain that they all get the same amount of finances that they would recieve if there were only 1 team in the market.

Herrbear, by default, no it does not. 'Finances' for an area are fixed by region, and not dependent on the number of teams in the region.

If I want to model, for example, the disparity in income between the Yankees and the Mets, I might put the Mets in a geographically close city, like Newark, New Jersey (so that the weather is correct), and just 'rename' the team.

Alternately, I think you can edit finances on a team-by-team basis in the latest build - I haven't started an association in a while, so I don't remember if its team-by-team or region-by-region.
