Players Pictures for the 1990's

I have the player picture file organized by decade, but I don't have any pictures for the 1990's. Is this available anywhere?

There's a face pack for 90s players for OOTP available at http://baseball.simcentral.net/index/ , BUT, you'd have to resize each & every one of them for Pure Sim use. However, if you're really hardcore about using modern real players, then go for it.

There are a couple facepacks out there, but they're not yet formatted for Puresim. Check out baseballsimcentral.com and look under the downloads section for the other big baseball sim. You'll have to resize them, though, and make sure they're in jpg format.

As an aside, I'm compiling a facepack from what's available in the community. It spans from 1900-present, but I was hoping to release it in conjunction with a database. I have a database-related question out there, and I'm waiting to see what's up before finalizing everything.

That's great, BryanK. At present, we have facepacks for the 1930s through the 1980s, but many gaps still remain. A comprehensive facepack mod, to include players from the 1990s to today, IS doable, but would require a LOT of work. The images themselves couldn't be hosted at Matrix, though, as we're once again dealing with MLB copyright issues, aren't we?

Photoshop really helps with the resizing
I thought it would be helpful to match up all the duplicate names in the database with the right pictures by using middle initials and stuff. That way it'd kinda be an all-in-one installer for real players. It's going to be rather big, though...

Also, I'm tweaking the database a little. I split babe ruth into two players, used Anakit's debut year info, etc.

For the record, I use a free program called XNView, which works well for resizing/converting jpegs/gifs etc. This is what I used to create my own historical logos for my "Golden Age" Association. It can also be used to resize player photos to fit the PureSim format.

An empty copyright if ever there was one, unless you're selling candy bars or something. Use the PS format for player photos. Find the images you want. Format and plug them in as you please. Nobody cares. Just stop talking about this stuff here - we all understand that you know everything there is to be known. The problem is that the more attention you draw to yourself, the greater the chance that the game will be altered to prevent us from inserting the images and information we want.

So stop it.

XNView is great for resizing pictures, thanks for the heads up. I hopefully will have a 1990's face pack for PS ready in a week or so.
