Newbie allied player looking for Japanese CHS opponent

Post by ctangus »

First WITP PBEM - hope I won't embarrass myself too badly.[:)]

Like to play CHS scenario 155.

All negotiable, but would suggest:

1 Day turns
Sub Doctrines Off
Player Defined Upgrades On
Historical First Turn Off
Vary Setup, Damage Control, etc. On
Reinforcements +/- 15 days

Other house rules open to negotiation.

I could do 1-2 turns/day most days. More most weekends.

Hi!
I'm ready to play, but I would like only Vary Setup off.
For the rest it's ok, and we can discuss on House Rules

Fine on vary setup off.

Suggestions on house rules? I'd like to limit exploits of the game mechanics, but don't want so many that they're hard to keep track of.

I'm running 1.60 by the way

I don't like so much limitation by house rules, but for the first turn we can set the following:

- no attacks against allied CV
- no new TF by allied in the PI and Pacific Ocean (DEI and Malaya are free)

That's all for me. Any suggestion?

Not sure on any more - I've seen a bunch suggested on the board, but don't have the PBEM experience to know what I'd want. We can go with what you just posted.

Oh, now just remember something.
I read some troubles with Oz, in the game between Hoepner and Mc.
Let's say that no landing in Australia is allowed until february 1942. So you'll have time to move your units in Australia. This is difficult in the game due to the HQ limitation.
For the rest it's ok.
Now I'm in the middle of the Alps (Switzerland) for a vacation that should end today. But it's snowing and I don't know if I can go back home today. Here I have only a laptop, not very performing, and a 52.0 kpbs connection [:(]
So when I'll be at home, I'll start preparing the first turn. This should take a long time as for sure you now, because you have to plan the whole strategy war.

Where are you?

I'm east coast US (don't ask what I'm doing up right now - 4am local. [:)]) Whenever you can get the first turn off is fine with me - I'm sure mine will take a while in response as well. Keep me posted.

Problem to sleep? [:)]
Ok. I'm not working on the turn directly, but I'm doing already on my mind.
Where I have to send the first turn?

Some kids outside my apartment woke me up, then I figured I'd play one turn against the AI, then I saw you responded. At some point I made a pot of cofee. [:)]
