TF cannot unload here and now

Post by Ursa MAior »

Can someone please explainn to me why I cannot unload in a friendly port, getting this message?
Or when attacking an enemy base (PM in this case with a single TF) why do I get this message? If it were for thunderstorms I would say ok, but it wasnt even rainy.

Desperately

What causes the following messages during combat resolution:

"TF xxx MUST unload"

"TF may not unload here and now"

"May not unload" means TF leader has decided to move. TF has unload order so in phase where unload should occur you get this message. Prehaps it should be changed to "TF is retiring" to let you know it has ceased unloading. You can prevent this by putting TF to do not retire. But TF was retiring for a reason.
If you make TF "do not retire" do not be suprised when
1. it gets air attacked
2. enemy surface TF arrives and attacks it

"Must unload" means TF wants to disband but still has cargo onboard.

Even though I am not a native speaker of english I think there is a difference between MAY and CAN: :D
Apart from joking there was no enemy surface TF in the area (only subs), it was during the night and no air attacks, and of course TF was not set to retirement allowed because otherwise it would hvae ran away from any CV TF. Not to mention the leader was Tanaka Japans one and only invasion admiral. But spekaing of it, points out the solution.

It was in the night+ That was the problem.
