Please fix the air transport bug!

Post by von Beanie »

I just saw my 1st Japanese Paratroopers vaporize during the first week of the war. I was aware of a bug when you airdrop them, but I thought I could at least transfer them from one friendly base to another via air tranports. Apparently not. Neither base was under attack and they still teleported themselves into the virtual abyss.

The same thing happened with my marine paratroopers in the last game I played as the Allies. I guess I should just treat paratroopers as poorly trained foot infantry that are unaware of the what a parachute is used for--especially if they board a transport plane. [:'(] Perhaps the legendary J.D. character that jumped from an airliner with the loot got his idea by playing this game.

There's no excuse for such a serious bug to still exist at this stage of game development. Please fix this problem ASAP.

Hi,
can you tweak the settings a bit that 47mm guns will be transported as well ? The funny thing is, that sometimes they get transported in my game and sometimes not !

And where do you get this info? If they have nailed it down , when did they and why wait for another patch?

How about the leader drain/swap issue? Has it ever been nailed down? Are you going to claim it will be fixed in the next patch?

They have been trying to nail down various ways of the air transport bug. From what I hear it will be fixed (as gunner333 says) in the next patch

fokkov,

What version are you using?

Sounds like a bit of a warping LCU issue too...........

Yes i'd recommend waiting until 1.7. A lot of work has gone into transport bug squashing.

Hi,

It's changed a fair bit (town centre). Apart from that. Same old Reading [;)]

End of the day these things can be overcome -

Agree with your opponent to release a restricted unit to compensate for it or have your opponent not use 1 of his Div's etc.

Always work arounds until the bug is squashed [:)]

That's still there [:D]

Main change is that Broad Street USED to be the main shopping street and is still a main shopping street. However all of the warehouses by the river have been demolished and a shopping centre (The Oracle) is there along with lots of bars and restaurants along the river. Much nicer now. At leats it is IMO. I've only lived here since 98 [;)]

Here's a link for info on the Oracle: http://www.theoracle.com/Website/

How does that help , if its allready spread out over 3 bases,
I was planning to load the 2 fragments to rejoin them with the mother unit at vigan.
