Japanese forces seem to be making a second drive on Mytkivina. Enemy paratroopers attempt a drop on Mytkivina, and meet a strong resistance. Japanese high command is yet again trying to find a way out of its morass in China, by attempting to cut the Burma road again. It will not find it as easy as in 42.[8|]

This AAR is unedited. There is action going on in the Mytkivina front, with a large contingent of enemy troops arrived at Mytkivina. Reinforcements are on the way, and Brgd Gen Slim expects to hold on to the town. A small Japanese contingent has been seen trying to outflank Mytkivina and cut the Burma road, however they should be easy to deal with.
In the Marshalls, large enemy fleet units are still spotted at Kwajalein. The airfields at Lae, Sorong and Rabaul are still shut down. This has allowed (finally[8|]) an AK convoy to unload supplies unmolested at Buin.
Despite owning the base at Amboina, the allied forces are unable to clear the Japanese defenders from the base area. Additional reinforcements have been committed and should arrive within the next few days.

The Amboina operation is taking far too long to complete. It is now delaying other operations of greater importance.
Amboina was just menat to be a small test, and also the recapture of the first of the (small)oil bases. Ideally it would add some oil to the Oz economy, as well as annoy his warspite-san -ness. It is however swallowing up too many resources.
