Calling all Dutch fanboys...

Looking for a top down view of a Fokker C.XI-W. Preferably a line drawing. Additional color references are desirable too. Thanks in advance!

Here are some of the photos I made this summer in Dutch Navy Museum in Der Helder. Very interesting place, and I plan to put more pictures on the net as I think WITP regulars would be interested.

This is the stern view of the scale model of the minelayer Golden Leeuw. Apparently the ship carried a floatplane, although I think in WITP it doesn't (not that it matters).

Golden Leeuw in full - this chubby guy is among the busiest ships in my Allied WITP games (if I manage to get him out of DEI alive).

Note that there was no catapult on the ship. Note also "doors" and rails to help with minelaying on the previous pic.

Again De Ruyter model with its second floatplane, showing much criticised aft AAA layout of the cruiser - 5 guns so grouped together they could have been easily destroyed with a single bomg or shell hit.

This last one has nothing to do with Fokker floatplane, but is appropriate for "Dutch fanboy" thread - Dutch propaganda poster from 45, after war in Europe was over, saying "Now the Indies!" ie. lets go back to recapture DEI. They were not very welcome there but that's another story altogether...

Well not a top down drawing, but certainly far and away the best reference I've seen yet! Thanks Oleg!

Now, if someone could just find an Empire flying boat...

Yeah, found a pretty cool site last night with photos of every Empire by name and a short service life history. Got me all nostalgic about the golden age of flight and the great flying boats...

Museum where I made the photos posted above (+ many others) is in the city of Den Helder, not in Amsterdam itself (although Amsterdam has its own naval museum, but not as interesting as the "official navy museum" in Den Helder). Helder is peaceful navy town an hour or so by train, to the north. It's worth a visit. It's like different world from Amsterdam. If you go there don't miss the walk along the dike/levee - seeing the sea on one side visibly above the town on the other makes you appreciate the risks of living below sea level and the technology Dutch implement to barely survive and grab the land from the sea [&o]

They have MSW from WITP preserved in the museum (pic below) - small ship with interesting history.

BTW Suriname is not in the DEI, though it's easy to mistake it for Sumatra sometimes [;)]. Suriname is ex-Holland colony in south America. I admit I didn't try the reinstaffel (whatever it might be - it sounds like some German elite air unit, not something people eat [:D] [:D])

O.
