The boxed copies are still in production, so they will not be available until next week. If you want a boxed copy, wait until next week and we will announce when they are available, but we saw no reason to delay the digital download until then when folks could enjoy it over the holiday (at least in the US) weekend. Hey, same thing here in Denmark. What better way to spend a snowy weekend than indoors with a mug of something hot and WPO?

Ugh, I just made myself sick with all the commercialising...

I've found in the past that keeping a good wargame running in the back room for occasional turns during extended family visits is not such a bad idea. [;)]

Oh I dunno... since we are hosting our american Thanksgiving, the next days I'll have plenty of leftover Turkey, Pies, Cider (good hot or cold... here in Fla... Cold [:D]) Sooo I'll be gaming WPO after all leave and the following days with plenty of munchies and leftover drinkables...

Snow.. humm yes that funny white stuff they say is frozen rain that falls up northwards....

We will be eating outside, and also having Swims in our pool... Sitting around, soaking the sun and enjoying the fine weather in Fla [8D]

You may as well get used to this sort of thing. I was at my local EB Games yesterday and they are phasing out PC games altogether. I don't know if that's a companywide policy or just that one store. In any event consoles are taking over and PC games, while not going away will become a niche product.

I'm just downloading WPO for only 316 NKR! Since I pay 500 kr for a full tank this is a bargain [;)]
My plan is to tuck WPO onto my laptop and bring it along to all the family gatherings this xmas...

Very interesting comment, 3D graphics over time will demand a dedicated platform. It just makes sense. But, these strategy games, will always have a market on the PC. I am sure Matrix is counting on this. I was so gald that 2x3 put in 2D graphics for these games (UV, WitP, WPO). Any 3D effort would have been bound to disapoint many people.

I'm so far away from a real game store that this makes absolutely no difference to me.

Long live Digital Downloads! The ONLY way to go IMHO. [&o]

looking back it doesn't seem that many years ago that I was on dialup watching a meter ticking the pennies up in cost each time I connected.... and taking maybe two days to download Steel Panthers..... now 2MB connection soon to be 4 and then 8.... what a difference.

My PC now runs a media centre, is permanenetly on, and vcan multitask witp and wpo and not even feel it.

PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

Gee I dont know about the speed of the transfer rate, very very slow.I have cable and my transfer rate starts of at about 70kb/sec falls all the way to a pathetic 19kb/sec,at this rate i will get the game in about 5 hrs yippy.

My ISP on other sites takes a lot less for similar sized downloads, the call of duty 2 demo took all of 12mins just last week.

every time i get a game from here i allways have the same problem, lucky the games are good

Aysi,

I'm not sure why you would be having that problem only with us. The online store has way more than enough bandwidth to send the games to everyone at maximum speed and we regularly get comments from customers about how fast the downloads are.
