windowed mode

Post by Roger Neilson »

Ok, I'm not trying to be the first to ask everything but.....

I have just tried to add the -w to the end of the target line in properties, exactly the same as for WITP. I don't like whole screen mode. It does not want to do it, it accepts the modified line, but still opens in full screen?

I use -wd (windowed, daily autosave) and it works fine. Make sure you are adding to the quickstart, not the game menu shortcut.

ah, that may be my problem, I have been trying to put it in the target line of the game icon. So, create a new icon shortcut to the executable and modify that target line?

Yep, that's the way to do it.

Success, thanks.

Actually, there is one in your start menu. It says "War Plan Orange (Quickstart)" I think. Just copy that to your desktop, then add the -w or -wd.

Tried windowed, but had graphic problems especially when map scrolling, so it looks like windowed mode may depend on what ones setup is.

Noise? What Noise? It's sooooo quiet and Peaceful!
