Day Time Surface Naval Battles

Post by Matto »

Hi,
I have a question about the subj. I read that a surface routine was changed. But when I'm looking on AARs, most of Naval Battles are still during nights, usually on hex with a base. So are day naval combats really more frequent then in WitP? Exists another algorithms computing meeting of TFs during days then in the WitP?
Thanks

Day and Night Battles are really controlled by players, in the sense they choose the time and place (by moving their TFs). However, night battles are usually indecisive at best, whereas day battles can be very bloody.

Also, it's usually more difficult to force a day battle, because of the way the game is programmed, i.e. unless you specifically order a Surface Combat task force to stay put in a certain hex, it'll run in and fight during the night pulse and then run back out during the day battle.
